I am the founder of Gentle Rising, a movement dedicated to mindful self-discovery and intentional, purposeful growth.

Through Gentle Rising, my goal is to offer you a space where you can step back from the rush of everyday life and reconnect with what truly matters to you. Through the use of cacao ceremonies, journaling, meditations, and rituals, I create experiences that invite deep reflection, clarity, and inner peace.

My sessions encourage you to explore your journey with self-compassion and balance, free from judgment or pressure so that you can nurture your growth in a way that feels authentic and sustainable for you.

I believe the transformative power you seek is already within you!

My role is to guide you back to your own wisdom, build trust in your intuition and cultivate a loving relationship with yourself. In the spaces I create, you’ll find what you need to move forward with more clarity, balance, and presence.

Whether you're seeking peace in the stillness or clarity in the chaos, I’m here to offer the tools that support your journey of growth, transformation, and self-discovery.

Common Misconceptions

Not sure if this is for you? Let’s clear a few things up.

  • "I need to commit to daily practices to see results."
The Truth: Transformation doesn’t require rigid routines or daily practices. While daily habits can be helpful, even taking a single moment each week to slow down, reflect, and connect with yourself can create profound shifts. At Gentle Rising, we focus on intentionality rather than frequency. Your journey isn’t about perfection—it’s about creating meaningful moments that work within your life as it is now.
  • “I’m not sure I’ll be able to ‘do it right.'”
The Truth: There’s no right or wrong way to engage with this work. The practices and questions offered at Gentle Rising are designed to meet you where you are. It’s not about achieving perfection or following a strict process—it’s about experimenting, exploring, and showing up for yourself in whatever way feels possible. Every step, no matter how small, is a step forward.
  • “I need to be spiritual or ‘woo’ to participate.”
The Truth: This space is for everyone, regardless of belief systems. While mindfulness and self-reflection can feel spiritual for some, the tools and practices at Gentle Rising are grounded in accessible, practical methods. You don’t need to subscribe to any particular belief system or embrace abstract ideas to benefit. This is about connecting with yourself in a way that feels authentic to you—whether that’s through journaling, quiet reflection, or practical exercises.
  • “I don’t have enough time to focus on myself.”
The Truth: You don’t need hours of free time to begin. Self-connection doesn’t have to take up a lot of your day. Gentle Rising emphasises practices that can fit seamlessly into your existing routine, like pausing for a few deep breaths, writing down a thought or feeling, or setting an intention for the day. Investing even a few moments in yourself can yield lasting clarity and calm.
  • “I don’t want to be vulnerable in front of others.”
The Truth: Vulnerability is welcome, but not required. Whether in a group or one-on-one, Gentle Rising is a safe, judgment-free space. You’re encouraged to share only what feels comfortable. Often, the greatest insights come from private reflection and personal exploration, so there’s no pressure to expose your innermost thoughts unless you choose to.
  • “Self-development feels selfish or self-indulgent.”
The Truth: Taking care of yourself benefits everyone around you. Many people, especially women, feel guilt when prioritizing their needs. But when you invest in your own well-being, you create more capacity to show up for others from a place of fullness and balance. Self-development isn’t selfish—it’s an act of self-respect that ripples out into all areas of your life.
  • “I need to be good with words to journal or reflect.”
The Truth: Expression doesn’t have to be polished to be powerful. You don’t need to be a writer, or even enjoy writing, to benefit from journaling or reflection. It’s not about creating beautiful sentences—it’s about noticing what’s within you and giving it space.
